Attunga is a small village some 30Km south of Manilla towards Tamworth on the Fossickers Way.
This is a small rural village whose industries are agriculture and a large limestone mine, which lies just east of the village.
In the area is to be found the Attunga State Forest, covering an area of 874 hectares. The forest area contains a picnic spot with barbecues and basic toilet facilities. Walking trails are provide and overnight camping is permitted providing campers observe the fire restrictions and bans that may currently be in force.
