Just a short note to let you know one of your local boys now serving with the Defence force has achieved something that the town of Ballina should be proud of.
While on a trip to Hawaii on exchange he was awarded the American Army Achievement Medal for outstanding achievement during the Pacific Bond Excercise.
His name is Gunner Cullum J Jordan of the Royal Australian Army, 101st Batterey, 8th/12th Medium Regiment. If you would like to follow this up his father is a regular to the Ballina RSL and his parents live in Ballina though unsure of the address but someone at the RSL would know this family. Cullum is at this time serving in Darwin and his home number is 08 89472710.
We are just the very proud in-laws of this young man, at the age of 22 he is a credit not only to his parents but as we have stated a credit to Ballina.
