Ballina is rich with things to visit. From its vast array of ocean and river beaches through to other water activities such as fishing.
A visit to the Naval and Maritime Museum should be high on the list of places to go and, if you feel a little warm whilst there, alongside the museum is the Swimming Complex complete with its large water slides.
Pioneers Memorial Park
The Pioneer Memorial Park is a memorial to the early pioneers of the district with many of the early sea captains and their crew members buired there.
A trip to the Ballina Lighthouse is a popular destination for visitors. Then climb to the Rotary Lookout for some magnificient views of the township and district.
Whale watching is always on the agenda during October each year as the humpback whales pass the area during their annual migration. The best land based viewpoint for these magnificient creatures is from Cape Byron.
In addition, there are many centres within close proximity of Ballina. See the District Map for links to some of these centres.
