Broadwater National Park is located on the coast in an area bounded by Woodburn, Evans Head and Broadwater.

The flora of the area includes some of Australia's most interesting plant life. The area is predominantly wetlands and heath with springtime bringing forth a magnificient sea of colour with its many coloured wildflowers. The presence of its very old sand dunes, salt marsh and swamp forest offers some great walks. Birdwatching can be a most rewarding past time in the park. There is a 3km walk to the Salty Lagoon which is well worth the effort
