Tweed Heads is a wonderland of tourist attractions catering for the needs of everyone.

Within a one hour drive of Tweed Heads are a number of National Parks including Mt Warning, Nightcap and Border Ranges, National Parks, all lying to the west. Each of these parks feature some of the great aspects of Australia's geological past in its volcanic plugs.

Minjungbal Aboriginal Museum Closer in, a visit to the Minjungbal Aboriginal Museum. The museum gives a great insight into the aboriginal culture of the area from thousands of years prior to the arrival of Europeans.

In addition, the museum displays modern aboriginal culture from local and regional artists. It is well worth the time taken to visit.

To the south of Tweed Heads the visitor will find Tropical Fruit World where the visitor can tour what is widely considered to be the world's most diverse tropical fruit plantation. The 65 hectare property boasts over 500 different tropical fruits, many of which are considered as quite rare.

There is an excellent range of dining opportunities throughout Tweed Heads, catering for most needs. For a list of restaurants and other food places see The Food Places which is a part of this site.

Fishing opportunities abound with all year round fishing being available from the estuaries to the ocean. Charter services are available for those who want to get out into the ocean fishing or simply rent a small boat to cruise the estuaries.

And what would a visit be to the town without experiencing its many wonderful beaches. Bathe, surf, swim or just enjoy the beach; the choice is yours.

Tweed Heads is only a short distance from the Gold Coast and Brisbane, making these trips added bonuses to the visitor.
