River cruises are available either by renting your own boat or houseboat, bringing your own boat or taking advantage of River Cruises such as those operating out of the Yamba Marina.
The keen fisherman can go deep sea fishing or go diving. For the less adventurous, whalewatching is a very popular attraction during the annual migration.
Alongside the Yamba Golf Club is Story House, the local museum containing models, photographs and other items of the early days of Yamba.
There are also great walks available in the Yuraygir National Park or you can vist the Yamba Lighthouse, take in a movie, visit sugar cane and dairy farms or some of the many aboriginal sites in the district.
Just to south of Yamba is one of Australia's most famous board riding beaches at Angourie. This small village is on the northern tip of the Yuraygir National Park and boasts many holiday units, including former World Surfing Champion, Nat Young's 'Nat's At The Point'. Also found near this village is the Blue Pool, a former rock quarry that has been filled by a natural spring, creating a superb and popular swimming hole.
